Gear: Must have a good sleeping bag
Posted on April 13th, 2009 No comments
The most important piece of equipment to have for camping is your sleeping bag. You want a high quality bag that will keep you warm and dry for most conditions throughout the year. I have been in cold weather bags in the summer and summer bags in the winter, and neither case is fun. My choice is a +15 degree bag, if you have to have one. Certainly if you do mostly summer camping you might want to make that a 20+ bag, but even in the summer in places like Yellowstone or here in Wisconsin the nights can get cold. A bag like this will do the trick for nearly all the year. -
